Services

Feet on the Go offers a wide range of nursing foot care services in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Woodstock areas. Our goal is to ensure that your feet are healthy and happy, so that you can do the things that you love. Many people believe that foot pain is simply a part of life. This, however, is not the case; many of the causes of this pain are treatable.

Our Services Include:

Nail Cutting and Filing

Proper nail maintenance is an essential part of footcare. Feet on the Go will make sure that the proper care is taken to treat and prevent ingrown toenails, reduce thick or Ram's horn nails and any other problems that may arise.

Reduction of corns and calluses

A corn or callus is an area of hard, thickened skin on the foot that is formed in response to pressure or friction. They commonly form on the balls of the feet, or on the toes. Over time, these can become inflamed and painful if the source of the friction or pressure is not discovered and eliminated.

Feet on the Go can reduce or remove corns and calluses, as well as locate the source of your problem in order to eliminate the chance of recurrence.

Over the counter solutions should be avoided; it's very easy to damage the skin surrounding the problem area, which can lead to other problems like infection.

Health teaching to promote healthy feet

Feet on the Go will continually teach and reinforce how to care for your feet. We will also give you a care plan to meet your individual needs.

Diabetic foot care

People with diabetes are at high risk for foot problems. Diabetes can cause damage to the nerves (neuropathy), which can reduce the sensations that would give you warning signs about any foot problems. Decreased circulation can also lead to diabetic ulcers if they remain unnoticed or untreated in the early stages.

Feet on the Go can help you by identifying problems before they become dangerous, and ensuring that your feet stay healthy and strong.

All of these services are performed in the comfort of you own home or in a clinic setting.
